Nicolette Alexander is a London-based artist shaped by the sunny beaches of California. Much of her work is inspired by travels, places, and the environment around her. While traditionally she paints & draws realistic/representational pieces, she also enjoys experimenting with more abstract subject matters.
Her art is a captivating reflection of her journeys, the intricacies of the world, and the profound emotions they evoke.
“Art is really just my way of bringing permanence to some of the most fleeting things in life, moments and emotions. All of my paintings are directly inspired by a place or a moment that made me feel something in some way.”
While landscapes and cityscapes, are often her wheelhouse, Nicolette often finds herself drawn towards more surreal subject matters and visuals that come to mind in dreams and on walks. Often times when she needs to reflect or take some time to herself, she goes for long walks around London whilst listening to music and taking in the city by night while it sleeps.
London has always been a massive source of inspiration for Nicolette. Often times just walking around the city and being present in the moment, fills her mind with ideas.
